Status: | Adopted! |
Size: | Small |
Location: | Chestertown, MD |
Name: Jack
Suspected Breed(s): Domestic Short Hair
Gender: Male
Age: 3 years
Size: Medium
Observations with Dogs & Kids: Jack is very shy, and would prefer a quiet home with no children or dogs.
Additional Information: Jack is a shy, gentle boy who was brought to our shelter after his family moved away without him. His poor boy spent a few days at our shelter before he would warm up to anyone, but once he did he turned into a total love bug! He loves ear rubs, head scratches, and attention.
Jack is FIV+, but that doesn’t make him any less of a cat! “FIV” stands for “feline immunodeficiency virus” just as “HIV” stands for “human immunodeficiency virus.” In fact, these two viruses are closely related, but cats cannot infect humans, and vice versa! While his diagnosis is unfortunate, it doesn’t mean he can’t lead a long happy life! It just means that he’ll need a family who will take care of him if he becomes sick, as well as a family that has lots of love to give!
