Shh! Don't tell her own dogs or her many previous fosters, but Ratchet's foster mom says he's the cutest, friendliest, and most social dog she has ever seen! Just 2 years old, Ratchet is an 11-lb. Type B, or Teddy, Rat Terrier, possibly mixed with a bit of Chihuahua. Ratchet loves everyone and has a zest for life that is contagious. He enjoys the company of people, including children, and is appropriate in his interactions with them. This sweet fella is super affectionate and will roll over for belly rubs. Ratchet loves playing with other dogs and has also met the resident cat in his foster home with no issues. Ratchet's favorite things to do are playing with toys and zooming around in the yard. He grabs his toys by what he perceives to be a neck and gives them that famous "rattie shake." He also excels at tug-of-war and ball chasing. Ratchet walks well on leash, and he's learning to love going into and staying quietly in his crate. He's also doing well with house-training, quickly picking up how to use the dog door.
