Happiest with a tennis ball in her mouth, Lorraine finally knows how safety feels as her confidence continues to grow in her foster home. Saved from a shelter in Texas, the 32-pound black and white beauty, who requires time and patience to warm up to people, is most at ease with children and especially enjoys playing with her doggy foster friend. Sweet and submissive, she’s been slowly releasing her inner puppy as she bounds, hopping and jumping, around the backyard after a tennis ball, often bringing it back to her foster mom, then kissing her hand. She loves blankets and squeaky toys, treats and food, and waits until her fosters fall asleep before snuggling close to them at night. Still learning her basic commands, she’s house trained, but remains fearful of being leashed and going for walks. Now, what she needs to flourish is a calm and patient home with a fenced yard, a doggy friend, and a family to help continue to work with her and build her confidence and blossom!

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care, enabling us to save more lives!

Adoption fee is $250 and covers microchip, DAPP, Rabies, Heart Worm test and spay/neuter.

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application here .   We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!

Please email ARRColorado@gmail.com for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time.
