Gizmo is a sweet older gentleman (16 years old) looking for his forever home. He has been with one family since he was born, but his owner recently passed away and now he needs a new one. He has led quite a life, being a winery cat, a barn mouser, and, as he has gotten older, an indoor cat. He is very sociable, and loves nothing more than to cuddle in your lap or next to you for as long as you’ll let him. He is quiet and clean, and gets along with dogs and other cats as long as they respect his space, although ideally he’d prefer to be someone’s only companion. He is healthy, uses his litterbox scrupulously, and sheds nominally. Please consider giving this wonderful older but vibrant fellow a loving home. He has so much love to give – he’s just waiting for someone to give him the chance to show it!  When the winery manager from Virginia learned that Gizzie needed a new home, she declared him “the best cat I’ve ever known” but sadly can’t take him because of her husband’s allergies.

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives!

    • $250 for purebred/highly requested kittens (6 months & under)
    • $150 for purebred/highly requested cats (older than 6 months)
    • $150 for kittens (6 months & under)
    • $75 for cats (older than 6 months)
    • $35 for senior cats (8 years or older)

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application  here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!

Please email ARRColorado@gmail.com for more information, as we can not accept calls at this time.
