SANDY is a really loving, intelligent and playful female orange tabby! We thought SHE was a HE, but now we see why she’s so maternal and looks after all the other kittens! SANDY needs love and buddies because she is social and loves people and animals. She would be a wonderful family pet and is gentle with people, but pretty high energy when it comes to jumping on other kitties! SANDY came from the home of an elderly lady, who fed and took in strays but did not get them fixed. She loved cats but could not possibly keep up with the house and caring for them, so several groups went to remove the 20 kittens, who ran in and out of the home, and the cats. Our group took the 4 photos in the photo shown, and SANDY has a similar looking brother called HONEY, who is medium/long haired.

We do not have a fixed adoption fee at For The Cats’ Sake, but instead ask for a tax-deductible donation to our group. On average, we spend at least $125 to cover foster care, testing for FeLV and FIV, vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming and any vet care/medicine that is needed. We ask that you cover as much of the $125 as you can afford, and set a minimum donation at $50. Our goal is to find the best home for each animal, and we feel this policy makes it possible for more people to adopt one or more cats. It is important to us that every adopter can afford to care for their pets properly and give them a home for life.
