Hi, I’m Nala, a sweet, loving and goofy 11-month-old lab & shepherd mix. I spend my days lying on the couch or next to my foster mom while she works, chewing on my favorite bones, playing with my foster siblings, and enjoying time in the backyard or on a walk.

I’m looking for a family that will be patient while I learn to trust in various situations. While my life is now pawesome, prior to TSDP, I was living alongside a busy interstate and ended up in a small, rural shelter with my sister. Because of this, I can be nervous & shy when I meet new people, hear loud noises or if there are sudden movements. My foster mom has been amazed at the progress I’ve already made. Once I know you (or if you give me ear scratches), I will happily cuddle up next to you, and even give you puppy kisses and shake paws if you ask. Everyone that I meet says that I am so, so sweet and such a good girl.

I’m compatible with everyone, including kiddos. Due to my size, bigger/older kids may be better in case I accidently bump into anyone. While I’m very open to the number of humans in my forever home, I would really like another furry friend who can help me build my confidence & continue to show me the ropes.

In case you have any concerns about adopting a puppy, I am one smart cookie and I’m already past any puppy antics. I’m potty trained, crate trained, and I don’t touch anything I’m not supposed to. I’m very treat motivated and am looking forward to working on learning new tricks with my forever family.

If I sound like the perfect addition to your family & home, please complete an adoption application and I will see you soon!

Nala's adoption fee is $250 and that covers her vaccinations, spay, microchip and she's on monthly heartworm/flea/tick prevention.  She will make a wonderful addition to a lucky family!  Please email info@thestreetdogproject.org if you have any questions, thanks!

Note: We do not adopt siblings to the same home as in the long-run, they tend to do better apart so just wanted to mention that as we know sometimes folks are hesitant to apply if they think they're splitting dogs up.
