Fond of fresh air and adventure, Phoebe takes full advantage of the mountain trails near her foster home. At a fit 45 pounds, she starts her day with a series of morning stretches, then she’s either off with her foster mom to the dog park, where she’s a favorite of the other dogs, or off on one of the hikes that she loves. Although slightly timid at first, she warms up quickly, likes everyone she meets, and is very gentle with children. She’s also extremely sweet and supremely affectionate, hugging her foster mom and licking her face in exchange for being snuggled and having her ears rubbed. Still a puppy at heart, she loves her toys, gleefully choosing one to pull apart, then cuddling up with another one while she sleeps, and dancing and jumping at mealtime! Motivated by praise (she loves to be called "good girl"), she knows "come", "down", "stay" and "no", is working on "sit" and "leave it", rides well in the car, and is leash, crate and housetrained. Now all this affectionate adventurer needs is an active and affectionate home with someone there more often than not to complete her doggy education and work on building her confidence in exchange for a lifetime of Phoebe love.

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out our Adoption Application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you within 48 hours. If your home sounds like a good match for you and the pet, the next step is to set up a "meet and greet." After meeting the pet, if you would like to proceed with adopting, we'll ask that you read and sign our Adoption Agreement and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.

The adoption fee for this pet is $345 which covers microchip, DAPP, Rabies, heartworm test and spay/neuter.
