Meet handsome Reggie! He is just 1 1/2 years old and a mix of shepherd and Rottweiler.

This boy is about love, giving and receiving. He did not have a great start in life and was kept in a small kennel continuously, without enough room to move. When he was freed, he could barely stand because his back legs had atrophied muscles. He did not have a lot of confidence either.

Reggie is in better shape now. He can walk, play, run, chase balls, and get silly. He is a good boy. He is quite insecure with new people and occasionally will pee submissively when he feels worried. He is doing much better with this. Once he trusts his people he turns into a love bug. He likes other dogs, and even lives with a cat (he may chase a bit but does not hurt the cat).

Reggie has a tendency to guard his home and his people, as is common for his breed combination. He will need to live with someone who is experienced with this type of territorial nature and who knows how to handle it. Reggie is not aggressive with people but will bark defensively if you enter his home. For this reason we prefer to see him with older kids (over 12) only.

He is a wonderful dog with a very affectionate nature.

He is updated on all shots, will be chipped and neutered. His adopt fee is $395.

We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life!
