Meet Bennet! Bennet is a very sweet and quiet 7 year old, 20 lb Shih Tzu mix. He can be shy at first but he warms up quickly & will become your best bud. His two favorite activities are eating and sleeping. He does occasionally get little spurts of energy and likes to play, especially if there are treats involved!  Bennet is well behaved and is crate and house trained & gets along fine with other dogs. He has a cataract in one eye and walks slowly, which might be ideal for people with a more relaxed and patient lifestyle. He is going to make a lucky someone a great companion.  

Bennet is a beautiful dog that came into the shelter quite neglected. He has hair loss on his back end due to untreated environmental allergies.  His skin is improving & hair slowly coming back with regular baths, flea prevention and over the counter allergy medication.  He got the works at the Humane Society- they detected a heart murmur, so he had chest X-rays and blood work & a urinalysis ran to make sure he was healthy enough for a much needed dental cleaning. He got his dental and has pearly white teeth!  He is also on long term eye medication for dry eye.  Bennet is ready for a loving forever family that will continue his maintenance medication so he stays healthy and happy.  Bennet's adoption fee is $150.
