ONE LAST THING:
Dora Boothby is a sweet soul, but needs a savvy and patient home who understands she is fearful, under socialized and can handle a full house but may not be the best in public or with strangers. Dora will come around with a patient person, but will nip or bite in extreme situations if scared, so a home with no children but another dog would be good. Her foster says, "She came to us very very scared. She has pretty much warmed up to us but is still a little timid. I think she would do well in a calm household. When she gets excited she gets really excited!!! She's adorable and just needs someone calm and patient." It takes Cora longer to be comfortable with hands and picking her up than being led around by leash so she needs to wear a harness with a leash dragging in the house for the first week or so. She should be hand fed by her new people. She loves her kennel and needs a wire kennel in her new home to use as her safe place. Some dogs just need extra care and Dora is one of these dogs. She's not for everyone, but for the right one who will be patient and work with her to be the best Dora Boothby she can!
