Mia and her sisters were rescued from a rural country road where they were found dodging cars and semi-trucks. Fourtunately, Good Samaritans jumped into action and saved them! We estimate the girls were born in June 2019. They are super sweet and friendly! Mia and her sisters look to be black mouth cur mixes. Mia has a light brown coat with a little dark-brown line running down her snout. She also has cute white markings on her back paws. Mia is housetrained, has moderate shedding, is friendly with new people, and working on her basic training. Mia is an active young dog that would benefit from daily exercise and keep up with her obedience training. Mia does well with other dogs, rides nicely in the car, and is intelligent and affectionate. She is a great mix of playful and snuggly!

From Mia’s fosters: “Looking for a silly pup to put a smile on your face? Meet Mia! This goofy girl has the manners of an adult dog, but the adorable mannerisms of a puppy!

Mia loooooves to play. Her favorite thing to do is to chase and play tug-of-war with our resident dog. Which toy is her favorite? Every toy! But when playtime is over, she obediently gets into her crate. She gets very excited about walks—sometimes she even carries her own leash around the house. She does great walking on a leash and doesn’t tug.

Mia also seems to be unfazed by a lot of things. On walks she doesn’t react to barking dogs and she was perfectly calm during a bad storm. I guess the streets made her tough! Because playtime is her jam, she would thrive in a home with another pup or with a family who can give her plenty of exercise. Sometimes she playfully nips, but she’s working hard at getting better!”

Mia will make a great addition to a lucky family! Her adoption fee covers her vaccinations, de-wormer, spay, microchip and she's on heartworm/flea/tick prevention. Please email info@thestreetdogproject.org if you have any questions!
