Meet our handsome boy Cullen!  Cullen is a 4 year old, 13 lb friendly chihuahua mix.  (Update, we now think Cullen is very likely a Xolo or Xolo Chihuahua mix!--see below.) 

Cullen is a little shy at first, but becomes the ultimate snuggle bug once he is comfortable.  You will have a new BFF with Cullen, he will follow you around the house and always wants to be by your side.  He loves to nestle under the blankets, and wear sweaters and lay in the sun. This little guy will keep your lap warm! Cullen is fine with dogs in the foster home but can get a little possessive of his humans, so he should be corrected when he acts out or be in a home without other dogs. Cullen walks well on leash and does not pull, but does needs a little more work with meeting dogs outside of the home on leash.   He is very gentle and lets you groom and trim his nails easily. His potty training is a work in progress. We think he would do best in quiet adult home or one with older kids over 10.   

Update: We are almost sure that Cullen has some Xoloitzcuintli (aka Xolo aka Mexican Hairless).  The COATED (not the hairless) Xolo has a lot of variation in coat which accounts for Cullen's hair-like coat. He also has the Xolo wide-set ears, almond eyes, half naked whippy tail, and all the normal Xolo character traits such as quiet demeanor, family loyalty, and reservation with strangers. 

Cullen is a smart boy who will blossom with stability and patience.  Once Cullen is settled and feels safe and loved, he is very responsive to positive reinforcement and training. Right now he is disguised as an slightly overweight tan chihuahua, but we are pretty sure Cullen is a Xolo diamond in the rough. Cullen's adoption fee is $300.
