Energetic pup. Needs yard. He is wary of men

Meet Buddy, who is young and blossoming! A total sweetheart and rescued from squalor, we are ready for him to leave his past behind and be completely loved, cuddled, valued and trained.  We are going to say it again - Buddy is a puppy! Yay!  That means he is a silly snuggly boy, but it also means jumping/ pulling on the leash and other naughty puppy behaviors. Buddy wants a home where he'll have help finding his happy and healthy adult paws. He would really love a female household with no young children.  Buddy is wary of men- unfortunately, not terribly uncommon for rescue dogs. 

Here is what my foster has to say.   

His ideal day includes waking up near his humans, stretching, eating breakfast and going for mornings & evening walk. He has been working on his tentativeness and has actually discovered his puppy zoomies! Buddy also enjoys a good nap in the sunlight and looking out the window. Buddy enjoys resting at your feet or next to you on the couch/bed  and will be happy to nap near you after some exercise. He has an uncanny ability to play with his squeakiest toy during video conferencing! Left unsupervised, Buddy will be happy to find a sock or something stinky to chew on so you have to be ready to replace with a more appropriate toy. Once he learns to “come here” reliably, we could see him enjoying fetch or running around a yard. He would also be a good jogging partner. Buddy is a bit scared of other dogs on walks but may be okay once he gets to know them. He is also not a fan of sudden movements. He absolutely loves to be scratched and adored.

He is updated on all shots, neutered and chipped. His adoption fee is $495.
