    For The Cats' Sake

Meet ATHENA!  Athena is a gorgeous and playful young lady (1-year-old) that would make an excellent mouser.  She loves playing with other cats and with people but does not enjoy being pet or handled.  She was found with her family living under a shed in Front Royal with her family.  Due to the challenges and dangers she faced from her outdoor life, she unfortunately acquired Feline Immunodefficiency Virus (FIV). Even though she is FIV+, she is still healthy and would love nothing more than to find a caring forever home. Athena would like some outdoor time as she loves spending time on the catio.   Won’t you come meet this slender beauty in her Flint Hill foster home?  For more information on owning a FIV+ cat, check out this website as a resource: https://www.marvistavet.com/owning-a-feline-immunodeficiency-virus-positive-fiv-cat.pml?fbclid=IwAR0ZofNLyIxTncvB8gPeBm0oyGqJdtkfUo0ze1EFMIIy7uWy6E8-Go4V_3Y

We do not have a fixed adoption fee at For The Cats' Sake, but instead ask for a tax-deductible donation to our group. On average, we spend at least $125 to cover foster care, testing for FeLV and FIV, vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming and any vet care/medicine that is needed. We ask that you cover as much of the $125 as you can afford, and set a minimum donation at $50. Our goal is to find the best home for each animal, and we feel this policy makes it possible for more people to adopt one or more cats. It is important to us that every adopter can afford to care for their pets properly and give them a home for life.
