If you've heard the urban legend of "Golden Boy," then you'll be happy to know that the bunny now known as Rocky is finally safe. He was out in a Portland neighborhood on his own for weeks until a dedicated group of teen rescuers made it their personal project to rescue him. He wasn't easy to catch, but they refused to give up. Once they had him, they reached out to Rabbit Advocates for help. Rocky is very grateful to be in a warm home, and not out in the cold rain.

Rocky is a Palomino bunny who loves to do binkies on the bed after he gets fresh greens. He always gets excited for breakfast, and is a very discerning hay eater who always picks out the finest, freshest pieces. Named after the The Rocky Horror Picture Show because he is so blond and handsome, he likes to play with balls with bells inside and anything with pellets or treats hidden inside. He can often be found flopped or stretched out in his favorite spots. He is neither timid nor outgoing, and he may need ongoing reassurance that he will never be out on the streets alone again. Even with the door open, he often likes to hang out in his pen. As he continues to adjust to the good life, he is becoming more confident and exploring other parts of his foster home.

The vet estimated that he was born around Easter in 2020, and he is now around 7-8 lbs and may have a bit more growing to do. He has not been around cats, dogs, or children yet, though, his foster family suspects he will do best in a calm, quiet home. Like all bunnies, he will use his teeth almost like a hand to pick up and move toys, or to gently ask humans to move a bit so he can nestle in behind them. But, he has not actually bitten anyone to our knowledge.
