Goji Berry (Bonded to Juniper Berry) is a small 4 lb, 8 month old rabbit who is beautiful and timid. He has a bit of a goofy personality, he enjoys thumping at ghosts and tossing his toys. He would benefit from being in a quiet home without dogs or cats, and only with older, respectful children.  He has great litter box habits. When approached slowly, he loves being pet and will give tooth-purrs of appreciation. He loves nibble sticks, treats, and his lady-love, Juniper Berry (Juni). Goji Berry was found abandoned in a parking lot next to one of the busiest streets in Vancouver, eating scraps of fast food along with Juniper Berry.

Goji & Juni's story is about staying together against the odds. Goji Berry was rescued first by the RA Rescue Team, but they could not catch Juniper that first day. The team was determined to reunite them and went back for 2 more days until they were able to rescue Juniper as well.

Safe in their new foster home, Goji & Juni were kept near to each other, but in separate enclosures, while they waited to get fixed. Then 2 days before the scheduled spay date, Juni gave birth to 3 beautiful baby bunnies, Thimbleberry, Snowberry, and Huckleberry. We calculated that she was already 1 week pregnant when she was rescued!

Instead of sending Goji to be neutered by himself (and perhaps losing the bond between Goji and Juni) he was kept in an enclosure next to Juni while she raised her litter of kits. Once the kits were weaned, Goji and Juni went to the vet on the same day for their neuter and spay appointments. We were worried about re-bonding them, but when they were both able to interact again, they just hopped right back together like an old married couple, and have been together ever since. Through it all, they stayed bonded the whole time.
