**4-27-21 UPDATE - BONNIE NOT AVAILABLE - CANCER; HOSPICE FOSTERED NOW**

    Bonnie â¤

If you are looking for a sweet & snuggly little lady that rarely stops wagging her tail, look no further! Beautiful Bonnie is currently being spoiled & loved in Foster Care, but is now ready for her forever family to see her & fall in love! She has really come out of her shell since leaving the Shelter, learning to trust & showing off her bubbly but gentle personality! Getting her into her forever home as soon as possible would be ideal for this loving little lady so she can start to settle in!

Bonnie originally came into Maricopa County Animal Care & Control's West Shelter emotionally shut down & carrying a massive mammary tumor (approximately 1/4 of her total weight). After only being at the Shelter a short time, Bonnie needed to leave immediately for much needed veterinary care the Shelter was not going to provide. 2nd Chance Dog Rescue stepped in quickly to save her precious life! Bonnie had her extremely large tumor removed & has healed wonderfully! While her mass was confirmed to be malignant, clean margins were obtained, & further diagnostics could not find any evidence it had spread! Bonnie has had full blood work, x-rays, is up-to-date on shots, & has her next appointment already set up to be spayed & have a doggie dental!

Bonnie is approximately 8 years old & although only a DNA test could confirm, everyone's best guess is that she is the combination of a Chihuahua & Beagle! She is a petite 12lbs, walks well on a leash, & is housebroken. She is timid with strangers, but once she knows you are a friend she attaches quickly & craves human attention! Belly rubs are her most favorite 'activity' & her non-stop tail wags will have you smiling all day long! Did I mention those EYES!? Her beautiful brown Beagle eyes will melt your heart! â¤

She enjoys attention from her Foster siblings (of all sizes), & often seeks them out to spend time with & to snuggle with of course! She is a bit shy with play so far & toys are a bit scary, but she keeps everyone entertained with her zoomies & play bows! Of course, introductions with current doggie family members are required!  Due to her timid demeanor, she would not likely do well with kids, and it takes her a little time to warm up to new people, especially men.
