    Meet Michael!

He was given a 2nd Chance at life in November 2020. He was set to be euthanized because he had heartworms and pneumonia at the shelter, he was rescued by our rescue, and Michael has been in foster care ever since to make sure he received his treatments. In July of this year he had to have an ear ablation due to several ear infections from his previous life he had. He’s recovered fully.

    Michael's foster writes:

Michael is AMAZING!! He’s a short handsome stocky guy! He is around 7 years old, acts much younger, He never barks, does not destroy anything ,well except for his toys, he is so loving, chills, he is mellow, he does not mind other dogs whatsoever, but he would do best as an only dog because he does not like to share his toys/bones/food with other dogs, he has no food/toy/bone aggression with any adults at all, he pulls on the leash at first, then he settles into a nice walk, he rides so well in the car you don’t even know he’s riding with you. He enjoys just laying next to you, he loves to meet new people. He’s just a calm go lucky boy!! He is housetrained and uses the dog door, he is crate trained. He is so wonderful, I could go on and on what a great dog he is. Just come meet him in person. Up to date on shots, neutered and microchipped.

If you are interested in meeting Michael and live in the East Valley, please fill out an application!  Due to Michael's ongoing medication/medical needs (he is on medication for Valley Fever, prednisone from his battle with heartworms and pneumonia, thyroid meds for rest of his life, and his new family would have to be able to continue this medical care, including follow-up vet visits every six months).
