Hopkins is a sophisticated young man and, therefore, needed a fitting name. He is a curious and active young gent who loves to explore. He also has a silly side and loves a good binky/zoomie session. Fresh hay, greens, and new territory to conquer really seem to get him going. He adores a good petting session in the evening after he’s woken up and hopped his heart out. With his dashing good looks and passion for the finer things in life, it's hard not to fall for this lil lionhead.

Born in early June of 2020, he is nearly full-grown at 3.5lbs. He is still learning how to trust humans, and takes time to warm up to new people. With his inner circle of hoomins, he will come up and nudge them when he's ready for cheek scritches. He has a cute little leg lift reflex when you get just the right spot. He will likely do best in a quiet adult-only home. Hopkins is far too dignified to allow himself to be easily picked up and he prefers to keep his feet on the ground. Perhaps a home with a sensitive, bunny-savvy child who can understand that the world is sometimes a scary place for a small, introverted bunny.

Hopkins gets along well with his foster provider's more docile cat once Hopkins asserted his dominance. He’s comfortable stretching and flopping around the cat now, and the cat seems to enjoy lounging in Hopkins' litter box. Hopkins seems to enjoy the company of a furry friend, showing his excitement by honking and binkying when he gets up close. Hopkins might tolerate smaller dogs who respect his personal space. Hopkins might like to have a special bunny lady by his side.

Needless to say, Hopkins has distinctive decorating tastes. He has fluffy paws and tends to slip on hardwood floors, so he prefers to stick to the red carpet (or any carpet, blanket, or surface with more traction). Rabbit Advocates always recommends bunny-proofing, but other than the desire to occasionally play with linens and towels, he does not exhibit destructive tendencies. He has good litter skills and could likely be a successful indoor free-roamer.
