Hi my name is Bernie! My cat friends call me Uncle Bernie. I’m a middle aged gentleman who is looking for a home to finally call my own. 

My hobbies include: getting love from my human, loving on and grooming my cat friends, especially the young ones. I love teaching them how to be a cat and keeping them warm and safe. I also really love snacks and snuggles. 

I was found on the streets and a nice lady fed me for a long time but eventually realized I had to have had a family at some point because I was shy but pretty friendly. They caught me and brought my to my foster mom and after no time at all I proved that I really was a house cat who needed some help. 

I would really love a home to call mine forever. I would likely be fine with other cats or even dogs after a slow introduction. Older kids would be fine too or little ones who know how to be gentle with their kitties. 

I’ve been waiting a long time and nobody knows why but I’m ready and if you gave me a chance I could complete your family, I just know it!

Bernie was born in 2013.  Children 12 and over would be compatible with Bernie.

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives!

• $250 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes.  These "guardian kittens" help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens.
• $150 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes.  These "guardian cats" help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens.
• $150 for kittens (6 months & under)   
• $75 for cats (older than 6 months)   
• $35 for senior cats (8 years or older)
