Hello, my name is Dexter. I am a middle aged cat that was abandoned and left alone in a room in a house after my previous owners moved out. I was only allowed to be in one bedroom and they would leave a window open so I could come in and out. Being mostly an outside cat, I experienced a lot of mean animals and had to defend myself. Therefore, I do not trust other animals. While I may have a lot of battle scars, I enjoy the company of nice people who will let me get cozy on their lap or chest. I do have some trust issues so please do not touch my belly or feet until I trust you. I was diagnosed with a dental disease called Feline Tooth Resorption. My body starts to break down my teeth if they are not taken care of and reabsorbs them so I have recently had to have lots of teeth pulled. I am in need of a home with an owner who will provide me lots of love as I have had a tough life and I have so much love to give.
