One ear up and one down give dashing 5-year-old Dodger an impish air! Sweet and social at 70 pounds, he loves snuggling with his foster mom and resting his head on her lap to “ask” for belly rubs. As active as he is affectionate, he likes playing with toys, playing fetch and tug-o-war and going for walks, where he’s friendly towards every person he meets. He also likes taking rides in the car and chewing on bones, and is famously fond of deli meat, kibble and peanut butter treats. Motivated by food, toys and love, and quick to learn, he rarely barks, knows “sit” and is at work on his other commands. He’s also at work on his doggy manners (jumping up on people and play “biting”) and on his leash, crate and housetraining skills. Dodger does well with other dogs if they're slowly introduced to him. With much still to learn and so much to give, Dodger will do best in a home with a firm but gentle “pack leader” who will complete his training and education and keep him well loved and well exercised fur-ever.
 

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out our Adoption Application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you within 48 hours. If your home sounds like a good match for you and the pet, the next step is to set up a "meet and greet." After meeting the pet, if you would like to proceed with adopting, we'll ask that you read and sign our Adoption Agreement and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.

The adoption fee for this pet is $150. Our adoption fee covers the following:

- Spay/Neuter, Microchip

- DAPP vaccinations as age appropriate for dog - adopter shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption.

- Rabies vaccinations as age appropriate for dog - adopter shall be responsible for any rabies vaccinations after adoption.
