Just growing into his puppy paws, 5-month old Baloo is already BIG on LOVE! The former 32-pound stray may still be learning the finer points of life in a home, but he already knows how to hop onto the couch and snuggle with his foster mom while she works on the computer or watches a movie. Sweet, shy and slightly submissive when meeting new people and other dogs, once he warms up, he seeks out everyone’s affection and pets, and plays, wrestles and runs with his newfound canine friends. At his most energetic early in the morning, he loves going for walks (he doesn’t pull on his leash but his “herding” tendencies require quick reflexes), enjoys rides in the car, is discovering the joys of chasing a ball around, loves all treats and takes them very gently. Motivated by love, he knows “sit” and “no”, is learning to jump on people less, is crate trained and almost fully housetrained. Now, with his whole life ahead, big-hearted Baloo needs a loving home with patient adopters who will complete his training, educate him fully and keep him mentally and physically satisfied fur-ever.

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out our Adoption Application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you within 48 hours. If your home sounds like a good match for you and the pet, the next step is to set up a "meet and greet." After meeting the pet, if you would like to proceed with adopting, we'll ask that you read and sign our Adoption Agreement and pay the adoption fee. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.

The adoption fee for this pet is $395. Our adoption fee covers the following:

- Spay/Neuter, Microchip

- DAPP vaccinations as age appropriate for dog - adopter shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption.

- Rabies vaccinations as age appropriate for dog - adopter shall be responsible for any rabies vaccinations after adoption.
