Meet SMOKEY!  She is a very special cat that came to us as a pregnant mama in a TNR (Trap, Neuter and Return).  She was rather feral towards people (out of fear) but was an incredibly loving mother to her own kittens (who were all adopted into their forever homes).  In fact, she was such a stellar mother, she accepted and raised several orphaned kittens with as much loving care as she did her own.  SMOKEY has come so far with her human socialization!  She may start out shy but really enjoys being pet and loved on once she is comfortable with you.  She has not lost her tenderness with other felines and is a favorite with the kittens.  She would likely do best in a low to medium energy household where she could lounge and play indoors with a feline friend.  If you are interested in meeting/adopting this loving lady, please complete the following form:  TO ADOPT “SMOKEY”:    https://jotform.com/81848821130152

We do not have a fixed adoption fee at For The Cats' Sake, but instead ask for a tax-deductible donation to our group. On average, we spend at least $125 to cover foster care, testing for FeLV and FIV, vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming and any vet care/medicine that is needed. We ask that you cover as much of the $125 as you can afford, and set a minimum donation at $50. Our goal is to find the best home for each animal, and we feel this policy makes it possible for more people to adopt one or more cats. It is important to us that every adopter can afford to care for their pets properly and give them a home for life.
