Chalupa puts the “c” into charming! The tan 9-year-old who weighs a tiny 10 pounds is sweet, friendly and calm as he settles into the safety of his foster home. He loves cuddling and snuggling with his foster mom, resting his head on her and then prancing pertly about the place. Good with the resident children and with his small and large doggy foster friends, he likes playing with toys, especially stuffies, chewing bones and going for walks, walking very well on leash. Motivated by food and toys, Chalupa accepts all treats gently, knows “come,” “stay” and “no,” and because he’s mostly deaf, he’s now learning hand signals to perfect them and work on more. Crate trained and almost fully house-trained, Chalupa hopes to charm a patient and loving home that will complete his training, including his commands, and keep him contented fur-ever.
Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order they’re submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If your home sounds like a good match for you and the pet, we will connect you with our dogs’ foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a “ meet and greet” is set up. We require applicants’ dogs meet ours to ensure they get along. We’ll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to finalize the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.
The adoption fee for this pet is $100 .
Our adoption fee covers the following:
- Spay/neuter
- Microchip
- DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption.
- Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for any rabies vaccinations after adoption.
