Meet Neytiri!  Neytiri, or Nettie as we affectionately call her, is 3 years old and weighs approximately 65 pounds. She was originally adopted from the rescue last year but was returned through no fault of her own after her adoptive dad passed away.  Nettie is sweet and adores attention.  She would love to be someone’s love-bug!  She loves an adventure.  She is always game for a car ride, even if it’s just a quick 5-10 minute trip.  Really she just wants to go wherever her people are going.  Nettie has a moderate (at times high) energy level and will need time each day to get her wiggles out.  She loves to walk (multiple times a day) and has even gone on runs with her foster mom.  A fenced-in yard is not a must, but she would do best with one so she can play.  Nettie is continuing to work on her manners.  She is a smart girl and a quick learner.  She needs someone who can establish boundaries and be consistent with her. Nettie is both house and crate trained. She has been known to scour the counter tops and trash cans for the tiniest morsels of food when left out when no one is home so crating her would be best.  So far she has done well with older children and adults.  We have found Nettie does best when we talk with people while she observes.  Once she is comfortable she will be the first to approach and engage a person.  Nettie currently lives with her 9 year old German Shepherd foster brother and is dog friendly.  She will need proper introductions when meeting other dogs.  I think she would do okay either by herself or with another dog as long as the adopter is able to take the time for adjustments.  Nettie lived with cats in her previous foster home and did well but she is curious of them, so a home with a dog savvy cat is recommended.  If you're ready to make Neytiri a part of your family, please contact your adoption coordinator.
