Eagerness and enthusiasm are written wide across endearing 2-year-old Emily’s face. Having been struck by a car, the tan 25-pound former stray has been recovering smoothly after having her right front leg amputated. Paws-itively thriving in her foster home, she lets nothing slow her down, and yet she’s a calm and well-mannered miss who doesn’t bark or chew, adores affection and especially enjoys having her belly rubbed. Emily loves both her bones and her blankets, often carrying one of her blankets to the perfect napping spot, and making a little bed to snooze in. Moderately energetic, she walks beautifully on a leash in heel, loves going for walks at the local park, and could monitor the goings-on in the backyard for hours in utter bliss. Friendly with other dogs and learning to manage her energy in their company, Emily is now eager to find love in a home with or without another easygoing dog and patient adopters who will continue her socialization, teach her her commands, and keep her safe and secure fur-ever.

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order they're submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If your home sounds like a good match for you and the pet, we will connect you with our dogs' foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a "meet and greet" is set up. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to finalize the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. 

The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following:

Microchip

DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption.

Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for any rabies vaccinations after adoption.
