Meet Akira!

This beautiful white GSD is about 2 1/2 yrs old. Sadly, she sat in a 10 x 10 kennel for most of her life, exposed to the elements year round, along with a kennel mate in an adjoining kennel. Had never even experienced the feel of grass under her feet.........

Our rescue stepped in and through a local partner, we were able to secure a place for her in boutique boarding; a safe, secure place where she could decompress and be surrounded by caring, loving humans, who will support and help her while we find her furever home. Akira was saved from a life of neglect and abuse, badly let down by humans, for as long as she has been alive, ..... and she is truly an amazing, precious, sweetest, playful, loving, nurturing pup you may ever come across.

Akira is a sweetheart and has absolutely blossomed! She is flourishing in her new temporary accommodations!! So well behaved, amazingly loving and has become quite a mentor to the new rescue arrivals that show up. She LOVES to play, play, play! And she LOVES to play with dogs, any size, any breed, any sex, from a teeny 18 lb Yorkie mix to a 100 lb GSD! And she has even taken a pair of younger sisters, one of whom is very shy, under her wing, helping them navigate life!! But she is very ready to find her furever family.
