    The dogs Arcadia Animal Rescue saves are mainly located in southern states, such as NC, SC, TN and TX. We can transport to most states, through partner networks. Virtual meet n greets can be arranged for all non-local adopters.


    Meet Charlie - a truly amazing companion!  Handsome fun loving, Charlie, somehow found himself in a rural overcrowded NC shelter. Through no fault of his own, was facing euthanasia just to free up kennel space.

    Our rescue was asked to pull him and he went directly to a foster home.  Charlie has been a character for the foster mom. He is approximately 7 years old and has been playful with the other male and female dogs he has been living with.  We do believe his is dog selective as he needs a slow introduction to others.  On walks, he is skiddish about meeting new people, he is likely guarding his foster mom.

    Charlie is very quiet in the house and does not need a crate. He is house-trained as well.

    Note: Some pups are in boarding facilities in order to save their lives. This is far from ideal, they really need to be in loving homes. Due to record number owner surrenders this year, we have zero foster homes available. Fostering helps save another pup from euthanasia in an overcrowded kill shelter needing to free up a kennel.
