**URGENT Gabi's owner passed away - need a foster/adopter ASAP!!** Poor Gabi found herself in a cold county shelter, surrounded by strsngers after being taken from the only home she has known, after her person died. In the shelter, she was just so sad and shut down, obviously missing her person. Our rescue group found a temporary foster home and got her out of the shelter. We really want to find her furever home ASAP, so this exceptional sweetheart can begin to heal from her loss and enjoy life again. This girl is 5 yrs old and is all 64lbs worth of pure sweetness! Here is what Gabi's foster has to say: Gabi is actually really very sweet. She obviously doesn't understand why she is no longer with her person, or in her home ...... her whole world has been turned upside down, so Gabi does have separation anxiety just now. She craves attention and probably needs a more relaxed home ...... so a home where someone is around most of the time, or take her places with them would be ideal. When she is with me, she is quiet and as calm as a little church mouse!!! Gabi really likes other calm dogs. So a home with a calm fursiblong would definitely be a plus, a playmate, and who could help raise up her spirits. We are working on reinforcing her house training and she is improving quickly. She walks very nicely on leash. She can be a little mouthy but takes correction well. Since she is shy and cowers easily, she needs a gentle training style approach.
