Alexa is looking for a furever home to call her own. She was pulled from the Trenton Animal Shelter at a trying time. She has been in foster with two animal advocates as she healed from knee surgery. Alexa is approximately 1 and a half to 2 years old and weighs 37 pounds. She is housebroken and currently going through a on leash training regimen.

Alexa is an active dog who loves playing with toys and balls. She is a loving and eager to please dog. She loves to go swimming and on hikes, so an active adopter would be great! This sweetheart is also very people friendly. However, she doesn't realize she is 'mighty' when with smaller children! So her ideal home would probably be with a strong individual or couple, who can become her trusted pack leader!.

Alexa's forever home MUST be with a EXPERIENCED dog owner, in a private home that must have a secured fenced in yard. No small children and no other animals. Please send an inquiry if you are interested or have any questions about possibly adopting Alexa. This girl cannot wait to join a family of her own! GM

Note: Some pups are in boarding facilities in order to save their lives. This is far from ideal, they really need to be in loving homes. Due to record number owner surrenders this year, we have zero foster homes available. Fostering helps save another pup from euthanasia in an overcrowded kill shelter needing to free up a kennel.

If you can foster, go to https://www.arcadiarescue.org/foster and fill out a foster application. Thank you!
