Slowly emerging from his shy puppy shell is sweet 6-month-old Cabo. Happiest when receiving love slowly, this tenderhearted 30-pound former stray rewards his foster mom’s patience by cuddling and snuggling with her, rolling over for belly rubs, and playing with her when they sit on the couch or are together in bed. While he loves playing with his doggy foster friends, he, simply and surprisingly, loves playing with the resident kitten! He also loves playing with toys, especially rope and Tuffy toys, and chewing on bones, and the more confident he becomes, the more he enjoys going for walks, honing his leash skills with each walk he takes. Motivated by food, toys and love, he loves all treats, accepting them gently, currently knows “come,” “sit”, “off” and “no,” is never crated and is almost fully house-trained. Now, with his whole life to live and so much to give, Cabo is certain to bloom in a patient and loving home, preferably with other playful pets, that will continue bolstering his confidence, complete his training, including his commands, and keep him content, mentally and physically, fur-ever.

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order they're submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If your home sounds like a good match for you and the pet, we will connect you with our dogs' foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a "meet and greet" is set up. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to finalize the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. 

The adoption fee for this pet is $450 (includes a $50 refundable puppy training deposit).  Our adoption fee covers the following:

Microchip

DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption.

Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for any rabies vaccinations after adoption.
