The dogs Arcadia Animal Rescue saves are mainly located in southern states, such as NC, SC, TN and TX. We can transport to most states, through partner networks. Virtual meet n greets can be arranged for all non-local adopters.

Meet McGinley! McGinley is one of 3 puppies our rescue group saved with their Mama when they were found abandoned in a rural area, then taken to an overcrowded kill shelter, and dumped, through no fault of their own. We know the Mama, Astra, is a GSD young dog herself but we don’t know about Daddy! The pups are about 15 weeks old.and now ready for adoption. Astra is also available for adoption. Mama is a big girl, even for a female GSD, so these pups will be large, strong dogs.. GSDs and other intelligent working breeds need plenty of physical and mental activities daily to thrive. These puppies will need strong pack leadership, training and socializing should be started straight away. If you're just looking for a cute puppy, this is not the puppy for you! Please only apply if you have previous GSDs or intelligent working breeds experience. You need to be able to handle and control a large, strong dog, and train using only positive reinforcement methods. If you can open your heart and home to McGinley please contact Anne-Marie on 919 608 9314. Note: The puppies will be foster2adopt until spayed/neutered at the appropriate age. If you are looking for a guard dog, please go elsewhere, as we do not adopt any of our dogs to be used as guard dogs.

To apply to adopt, click on https://www.arcadiarescue.org/application.

If the pet you applied for is no longer available, www.arcadiarescue.org/adopt to see all of our available pets.

Note: Some pups are in boarding facilities in order to save their lives. This is far from ideal, they really need to be in loving homes. Due to record number owner surrenders this year, we have zero foster homes available. Fostering helps save another pup from euthanasia in an overcrowded kill shelter needing to free up a kennel.

If you can foster, go to https://www.arcadiarescue.org/foster and fill out a foster application. Thank you!
