Making the most of her second chance at life is sweet 12-month-old Marlee. The 43-pound pup in her wintry white coat loves cuddling and snuggling with her foster mom and giving her paw to ask for more loving. Happy, playful and always up for adventure, she also loves chewing bones, playing with toys, and going for walks, slowly rebuilding her muscle tone as she does. Still learning about boundaries when it comes to the resident dog, she’s easily redirected from any inappropriate chewing to toys, is highly intelligent, very food motivated and eager to please. Leash and crate trained and almost fully house-trained, Marlee, who is deaf, needs a patient adopter who will teach her the signs for all of her commands (she presently knows “sit”) while perfecting her puppylike manners. Best suited either as the only dog or with one other dog, this sweetest of survivors will bloom into the Marlee she was always meant to be.

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order they're submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If your home sounds like a good match for you and the pet, we will connect you with our dogs' foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a "meet and greet" is set up. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to finalize the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. 

The adoption fee for this pet is $375.  Our adoption fee covers the following:

Microchip

DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption.

Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for any rabies vaccinations after adoption.
