Two-year-old Nico finds that nothing is nicer than snuggling and cuddling with his fosters! The affectionate 20-pound black and white beauty, so sweet and so calm, not only thrives on their tender attention, he thrives on the amiable companionship of his various doggy foster friends, and absolutely adores one of his puppy foster sisters. He loves playing with all of them and going for walks, walking well on leash (he will, in all likelihood, enjoy going on hikes and visiting dog parks). Despite being somewhat shy in crowded situations, Nico has gladly allowed the few children he’s met to come up and pet him. Fond of all treats, accepting them gently, and motivated by LOVE, he currently knows no commands, but being eager to please and to learn should prove easy to teach. Wonderfully well mannered, he gets along with the resident cats, and is crate trained and almost fully house-trained. Now all Nico needs is an extremely affectionate home, perhaps with another canine companion, to complete his training, including his commands, and ensure that he’s kept happily active fur-ever.

 

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails).

If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. 

The adoption fee for this pet is $375. Our adoption fee covers the following:

Spay/neuter

Microchip

DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption.

Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for any rabies vaccinations after adoption.
