Mellow could easily be 8-year-old Mila’s middle name. The 15-pound black and tan beauty, so easygoing and so calm, is sweetness itself, and seems happiest being by her foster mom’s side, cuddling and snuggling, and resting her head on her. Fond of her two doggy foster friends, she fares best on brief walks, walking very well on leash (she’ll greet and sniff other dogs, then walk away), shows no interest yet in playing with toys, and co-exists peacefully alongside the resident cats. Motivated by love, Mila currently knows “come,” “sit” and “stay,” prefers canned food to kibble and accepts all treats gently. Never crated (she and the other two dogs relax in her foster mom’s bed while she’s gone) and almost fully house-trained, this mild-mannered miss now needs a mellow and loving home, perhaps with older dog-savvy children, to complete her training, including her commands, and keep her in cuddles fur-ever.

 

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application received in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails).

If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives!  A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. 

The adoption fee for this pet is $100. Our adoption fee covers the following:

Spay/neuter

Microchip

DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for all DAPP boosters after adoption.

Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Adopters shall be responsible for any rabies vaccinations after adoption.
