Meow! My name is Bunsen Burner, and I would like to be your new fluffy best friend! I am a large boy with the greenest eyes you will ever see. I love pets around my ears and chin. My favorite activity is looking out the window at birds, cars, squirrels, and sometimes nothing at all! I love food and treats of all kinds. The second I hear the shake of the treat box I come running and meowing! My foster mom has to keep the treat box in the cabinet because I am a very smart boy and figured out how to knock it off the counter. I haven’t figured out how to open it yet, but I dream of it during my cat naps. Speaking of naps---I love them! I will nap on the couch, on the bed, in a cat bed, or even in my foster mom’s laundry bin! When I am well rested, I love to chase toys---especially if they have feathers! I enjoy climbing on my foster mom’s lap while she is working and begging for pets. I can’t wait to find my forever home and would love to be adopted with my brother, Pipette!

Bunsen Burner was born in April 2023.

Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes that every pet should find a wonderful, caring home. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask that you fill out an adoption application form so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application we receive and will contact you as quickly as possible. A home visit will be scheduled before any pet is adopted to a new home. Once a home visit has taken place and the adoption application has been approved, we will ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement form. Our adoption fees help cover the cost of spay/neuter, veterinary exams, vaccinations, microchipping, and foster care. Highly requested breeds help cover the vet costs incurred by some of our other cats, enabling us to save more lives!

    • $300 for purebred/highly requested kittens, 6 months or younger, such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coon mixes.  These "guardian kittens" help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens.
    • $200 for purebred/highly requested cats older than 6 months such as Siamese mixes, Maine Coone mixes.  These "guardian cats" help support our rescue work by covering vet costs for other kittens.
    • $200 for kittens (6 months & under)
    • $125 for cats (older than 6 months)
    • $75 for senior cats (8 years or older)

If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application  here . We want our pets to go to a lifelong new home, so thank you for your patience during the adoption process!
