Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home. Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion.
A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known.
Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application. You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side. You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.

Special Needs? Tiki is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. Our best guess is that Tiki is a chihuahua mix. She came from a home with lots of chihuahuas and other small breed dogs. Only a DNA test will confirm. She is 100% adorable.
Weight: 5.5 lbs
Height: 12 in
Spayed/Neutered: Yes
Adoption Fee: $399
Fence needed? No, Tiki is an indoor dog. She is VERY small and cannot be left outside unattended ever.
What kind of home would be best for me? Meet Tiki, your tiny new sidekick! Tiki is an irresistibly cute little Chihuahua bursting with energy and affection! This sweet girl wears her heart on her sleeve—she’s not shy about vocalizing her needs or showing her love. Tiki gets along well with small dogs, especially those with calm temperaments. While we haven’t seen her with cats, her preference for calm canine company suggests she’d likely do fine with laid-back cats, too.
Thanks to her petite size, Tiki is perfectly suited for any type of home—whether it’s an apartment, townhouse, or single-family house. Tiki would love an adopter who’s home most (if not all) of the day. She’s best suited to a household without young children and would thrive with a couple who works from home or a retired pair looking for a loyal little shadow. Can you say pocket princess!!
If you're ready to open your heart and home to a devoted companion who’ll gladly go wherever you go, Tiki is ready to join her forever family.
What is my personality like? Tiki is 50 pounds of adorable, loving personality packed into 5.5 lbs of chihuahua cuteness. She absolutely adores sunbathing, and if you approach her while she’s soaking up the rays, she’ll instantly roll over for belly rubs. She’s a sensitive and loving companion who enjoys activity but isn’t into rough play. Tiki would thrive as an only dog, though she could also do well with another calm, small dog who matches her mellow vibe.
She’s always ready for an adventure—whether it’s a quick run to the pharmacy, a trip to the grocery store, or lunch at a sidewalk café. Tiki travels easily and gracefully, and she hopes every outing ends with a pup cup! This little love bug is looking for someone to spoil her and treat her like the princess she is. In return, you’ll be amazed by just how much love can come from such a tiny dog.
How do I act when I first meet new people? Tiki LOVES people. Get ready for her signature move—flopping over for belly rubs as soon as she meets you!
Other tips and tidbits: Tiki was born on or around 3/26/2022.
House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
