A shining beacon of hope, love, and justice, Lucky Day is sure to brighten the lives of anyone he crosses paths with. Lucky is you quintessential puppy- playful, cuddly, and smart as a whip. He loves to remind his foster family, including the reluctant elderly Chihuahuas and aloof house cats that life need not be so serious. In fact, he doesn't understand why we can't just play a good game of chase, or keep away, or tug and then snuggle together for a nice power nap! In spite of his disappointment in his housemates' lack of interest, he picks up quickly on social cues and keeps a respectful distance. Not only is he happy-go-lucky, he is perceptive and empathetic. Like his namesake, Lucky Day was born to be a star, and has already mastered "sit, shake, other paw," and "lay down." We are currently working on "sit pretty, wait," and "play dead." Lucky was aptly named, as he came to us with his front legs bowed due to malnutrition. After clearing that hurdle, we are holding off on neutering him so that our vets can evaluate his hip health. Lucky Day is available for adoption in Albany County, WY under our foster to forever program. Get that application in for this little amigo and be prepared to be swept off your feet!

At Laramie Animal Welfare Society, the first step to adoption is completing an adoption application on our website www.laramieanimals.org. Once submitted, your application will be reviewed by our adoption team which typically takes 7+ days.  Keep in mind, the animal you’re interested in when applying may be adopted and no longer available by the time your application is approved. We do not place animals on hold.   Pending approval, your application is valid for 6 months. Also pending approval, you will receive contact information, so that you may inquire about the personalities of specific animals. Adoptions for individual animals will occur by private adoption appointment. Because we are 100% foster-based, appointments are scheduled pending staff, foster home, and vetting schedules.  Should you want to proceed with the adoption, a brief appointment will occur at our adoption center to sign adoption paperwork, receive medical records, and pay the adoption fee.

**Dog/Puppy applications -  Because of the large volume of dog/puppy applications we are receiving these applications may take longer to process, please be patient. We do not do first come first serve but we place the dog/puppy in the best suited home. If you have questions about the Dog/Puppy process please email lawsdogprogram@gmail.com**
