Thank you for your interest in dog who needs a new home. Adoption can be one of the most fulfilling experiences in your life and especially in the life of your new canine companion.
A note to those looking at CPR. We have no perfect dogs - but many of our dogs have proven to be perfect for a certain someone. Our job is to find those someone's. Our most successful adopters come to CPR not because they want a dog. They come to us because they want to give a dog a home. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture. While we like to know what you like in looks, a dog is more than a pretty face. Our goal is to match you with the best possible pet for you and your home. We want to create furever families.
Our descriptions contain all that we know about this dog today. We'll update as more information is known.
Are you looking to adopt within the next 30 days? If so please visit our webpage at www.carolinapoodlerescue.org and complete the application. You'll find it in the menu on the left hand side. You'll also find a total listing of all our dogs available.

Special Needs? Meribella is spayed, up to date on vaccines and heartworm negative. She is a BIG girl. Meribella is a doodle. She is not hypoallergenic and will shed. If you have allergy concerns, Meribella is not your dog.
Weight: 80 lbs (est)
Height: 26 in
Spayed/Neutered: Yes
Adoption Fee: $699
Fence needed? Yes, Meribella is a big girl and needs big space to run and play. She has spent far too much time in too small a space. Meribella requires a physically fenced yard with fencing 4 feet or taller.
What kind of home would be best for me? Meet Meribella, a big girl with an even bigger heart. Meribella is bursting with love and ready to share it with a forever family. She’s open-hearted and adaptable—whether you’re single, a couple, or a full household, Meribella simply asks for an active, loving environment where she’ll be treated with kindness and included in life’s adventures.
More than anything, Meribella wants a best friend—a human (or a whole family of them) to share her days, whether you're out exploring or curled up at home. Meribella loves playing with other dogs and she adores children. Meribella has lived in a home with another female dog previously. It was a very small space for 2 large dogs, and they disagreed consistently. Meribella is ready to be the solo dog in a home, a queen bee if you must. She is fine meeting other dogs on leash when with a savvy dog owner.
What is my personality like? Meribella came to us from a caring family who wanted more for her than life in a cramped RV alongside a fellow large dog. With limited space, she often ended up in a crate—not the life they dreamed of for their gentle giant. They knew she deserved the chance to truly thrive. Now in our care, Meribella is making up for lost time—running, playing, and soaking up every moment outdoors. Her ideal home would have a securely fenced yard where she can safely romp, play, and enjoy time with your kids or other doggy companions.
This girl is a water lover through and through—trips to the lake, beach, or anywhere with water will earn you bonus points! She’d also be a great hiking buddy, always up for exploring trails by your side. Described by her previous family as a “super sweet baby,” Meribella is still young but doesn't have that wild puppy energy. She's playful, affectionate, and especially adores children and other dogs.
Meribella loves car rides and days at the lake. She was around children of all ages and frequently around special needs children, she LOVES children. She is a people dog ready to be spoiled rotten.
How do I act when I first meet new people? Meribella loves people and will approach you for loving pets and playtime. She believes everyone she meets is her friend.
Other tips and tidbits: Meribella was born on or around 4/22/2022.
House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule if a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule.
