Please consider that some of these dogs have been abandoned or ignored by their previous owners, having little interaction with someone who cares about them.
When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life.
Liberty nd her littermates came from a shelter that got them from their owner who couldnt sell a puppy that was thought to be blind. They shelter had no hope for them. We were their only chance. We took them to an Ophthalmology specialist and found out they were not blind, but they did have Impaired Vision . The clinic says these are not dogs that can be off leash except in a contained yard. No dog parks. Walks on leash are ok. They seem happy and healthy every other way. They are crate trained and almost housebroken. An ideal home would be a house with a fenced yard and a nice gentleman dog to help them feel secure. Since dogs see in shades of blue and yellow, it might be a good idea to find toys in those colors and not red tones. If you can give a good committed home to a pup like this, please go to AdoptaGSD.org and fill out an application. This will take a special family and real commitment.
