Animal Rescue of the Rockies believes every pet should find a wonderful and caring home. To ensure Atom finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails) .
Atom may be small, but his heart is already full of love—and his curious spirit is just beginning to shine. At only 10 weeks old, this handsome heeler mix is soaking in the world one tail wag at a time, with his nose leading the way and his people always close behind.
Atom is food-motivated, people-focused, and delightfully inquisitive. He’s at that magical puppy stage where every sound is a mystery, every leaf is worth chasing, and every cuddle is the best part of the day. While he’s still learning the ropes of being a polite pup, he’s off to a strong start and eager to please—especially if there are treats involved!
As a heeler mix, Atom will thrive in a home that understands or is willing to learn about this smart, driven breed. He’ll need consistency, gentle guidance, and plenty of opportunities to use both his brain and his boundless energy. But what you'll get in return is a loyal companion who’s ready to bond deeply with his person and grow into a loving, devoted dog.

If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you.
The adoption fee for this pet is $450 (includes a $50 refundable puppy training deposit). Our adoption fee covers the following:
Spay/neuter
Microchip
DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
Adopters shall be responsible for all vaccinations after adoption.
