**COURTESY POST**
Meet Salt & Pepper!
I'm Salt! My brother Pepper was protecting me from a pack of coyotes when a good human pulled over and saved us. Pepper is always looking out for me. I’m apprx 9 months old, a German shepherd boxer mix and 47lbs as of early July, but I look tiny compared to my brother.
I have all my vaccines and I’m going to get spayed in August! I’m potty trained and crate trained (I don’t even whine). I will perform for treats. I know bedtime, sit, down, leave it, off, come and my name. I like chicken flavored treats for the record.
My favorite thing to do though is trick my brother to give me his toys. I like to run to the other side of the house and squeak a toy to get him to come over and then I run back and take his toy.
I am a little more shy and watch my brother explore first, and once I see him do it, I do it even better.
I love other dogs, cats, kids, anyone who will play with me or give me belly rubs. When we go to the dog park, I love jumping in the tall grass and I’m learning how to play fetch and find it. I sometimes bark when I want my brothers attention or he has a bully stick I want. But I never bark at the door, strangers, or other dogs. My brother and I know better.
I love going on walks and I am so good on the leash. I even am good off leash and will hang out by you. If I could lay in your lap all day I would. If you’re on zoom I will poke my head in to make an appearance. I also love car rides and am very calm; I prefer to just rest my head on the center console and take in the views.
My brother and I would LOVE to be adopted together, but we can also be adopted separately.
If interested, please email cause4sbpaws@gmail.com and they can put you in touch with my rescuer. The adoption is through her, so pleaee be serious about being a forever home--there is nowhere for us to go if you decide you can't keep us.
