**COURTESY POST**
Meet Salt & Pepper!
I'm Pepper! I was found protecting my sister from a pack of coyotes after someone left us at the side of the road. My rescuer checked with the shelter and posted us found everywhere, and no one claimed us.
We are apprx 9 months old and the vet guuessed us to be German Shepard/Boxer mixes. The vet also says I am healthy, weigh 53 lbs, and am up to date on my vaccinations. I am set to get neutered in August!
I love playing with my sister, soft stuffed toys (I never tear my toys and take one with me every time I get excited or go potty), chewing on bones, and snoozing.
I am fully crate-trained, potty-trained, and I know various commands and my own name (sit, stay, leave it, down, off, come, bedtime).
I love walks and am usually very good on the leash. Sometimes I get excited by the smells and rush to investigate them, but other dogs or people don't bother me. The dog park is my favorite place besides PetSmart, where I get to pick out my own toys and the people give me treats for sitting so good.
I am always up for a car ride too--just roll the window down a little so I can get all the sniffs. I love sharing my toys and food with my sister and I never beg for food but I will do all tricks.
I am cat-friendly, dog friendly and love kids. I know no biting too. Im learning about so many new things but once I get to sniff it or see it’s not a coyote trying to eat my sister again I am completely okay with it.
Being young, I enjoy playing and have more energy than a couch potato, but I’ll never turn down midday naps and belly rubs. I know I'm technicallyyyy not allowed on the furniture and love my bed but if you ask of course I’ll come lay my head on your lap. I recently learned I like watching tv. And I really like falling asleep to white noise. I Iove cuddling and will snuggle any time you want.
I’m looking for a good home and would love it if my sister, Salt, could come with me. We are essentially twins, but I understand if you can only handle so much cuteness, so we can also be adopted separately.
If interested, please email cause4sbpaws@gmail.com and they can put you in touch with my rescuer. The adoption is through her, so pleaee be serious about being a forever home--there is nowhere for us to go if you decide you can't keep us.
