STARLIGHT is 2 to 3 years old and very friendly. She is a real LAP kitty and likes nothing better than to get fusses there. She is gentle and happy, and would make a great indoor or indoor/outdoor cat. She'd like to bring along her sister, who is shyer because Starlight kind of looks after Penny. They were both scheduled to be euthanized at the Culpeper Shelter, so we rescued them before that. We would still adopt Starlight to a home without her sister as she has some other friends in our care, and we would love to see Starlight in her own home, with company. Starlight is fine with other cats, and would no doubt adjust to a good dog.

We do not have a fixed adoption fee at For The Cats' Sake, but instead ask for a tax-deductible donation to our group. On average, we spend at least $125 to cover foster care, testing for FeLV and FIV, vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming and any vet care/medicine that is needed. We ask that you cover as much of the $125 as you can afford, and set a minimum donation at $50. Our goal is to find the best home for each animal, and we feel this policy makes it possible for more people to adopt one or more cats. It is important to us that every adopter can afford to care for their pets properly and give them a home for life.
