Metro is an energetic, sensitive hound-mix with a silky black-and-brindle coat and ears that feel like velvet. He tends to be shy on initial greetings, but is an affectionate companion once comfortable. He has a playful temperament and is motivated by games such as tug-of-war, fetch, or chase. He also thrives off of mental stimulation including puzzles and learning new commands.

Metro can be overwhelmed by new experiences and busy areas, and prefers a suburban or rural environment to call home. He would benefit from a patient owner who can continue to provide structure, training, and facilitate slow introductions. In his foster home he gained confidence by being around a social dog companion.

Metro is intelligent and eager to learn new skills, particularly when rewarded with high-value treats or play. He has mastered commands like sit, down, place, and will offer his paw when asked for "shake." Metro is crate trained and settles quickly during the day and night. He is house trained and signals when he needs to go outside.
