UPDATE:  Brownie is doing much better since starting on Thyroid medication.  His energy level and mobility is much better.  He very much enjoys being outside and he has discovered that long walks are great!  We can't wait to see what else life has in store for Brownie as his general health continues to improve .

UPDATE:  Brownie just keeps getting better and better!  When he arrived he was being treated for kennel cough and he had some skin issues.  In the course of his routine veterinary care we did discover that he is hypo-thyroid.  This explains why he had such a tough time recovering from kennel cough and his coat was in such bad shape.  Our awesome vets prescribed thyroid meds for him and things are going in the right direction now.  H e is looking and feeling much better!  The vet says that Brownie's thyroid condition will not shorten his life at all and that there is no reason he won't live a full and happy life.

Please welcome Brownie to APBA!  Brownie is approximately 6 years old and it is hard to see from the photos but Brownie is a BIG boy!  He is a solid 80 lbs. but you could call him a gentle giant.  He has a very calm demeanor and takes treats so gently that you barely feel him touching you.  The shelter tested with other dogs and found him to be completely uninterested.  Brownie is a little standoffish initially but warms up when offered treats.

If you think you might be interested in adopting Brownie, please fill out our on-line application!   https://www.ambassadorpitbulls.org/adoption-application.html

Completing our application doesn't obligate you to anything but it is a starting point for discussion regarding the possibility of adoption.
