Emmie has recovered wonderfully from Hip Surgery and gets around really well so she is now looking for her forever home. Emmie Loves: * Walks * Playing with all sorts of toys (her favorite is Kong Balls and tug of war) * Cuddling and kisses (she is possessive of her hoomans though) * She loves to be around her people, so crate training has been a real challenge. (She would require a heavy impact type crate) * She enjoys being around cats, but has not been left alone with them * She loves older children (she’s not been around younger kids) * Emmie hardly SHEDS and when she blows her coat it’s a breeze compared to standard Shepherds. * Because of Emmie’s abusive past, she resource guards pretty much everything (water, food, toys, treats and her people) * Emmie will need to be an only dog. As her foster, I am not comfortable with placing her in a multi dog family. She struggles with sharing anything, so having to compete for any resources will be a something she may never overcome.
