    NO LONGER ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS

Meet Norbit.  He arrived at an overcrowded shelter in SC with a broken leg 2 months ago.  He has been in foster care in SC while his leg healed.  He's now ready to find a forever home.  Worthy Dog would love to help him but we need a committed foster or adopter before we can bring him to town.

Norbit is described by his foster mom as being fun-loving.  He walks well on a leash.  He's a social guy who is great with both dogs and CATS.  He has a medium energy level and will be a good companion for someone wanting a walking buddy. He's very quiet for a Beagle, and doesn't bark on walks or at strangers. His foster mom did not hear him bark for the first few weeks he was in her home. He is crate trained and makes a good roommate.

Norbit's foster mom feels he will be a wonderful family dog. He shows not sensitivities or agression. She can put her hands all over him, give him meds, touch his ear and tail, and no response. Even at the vet when getting his broken leg examined, he was the perfect patient.

You can also help save dogs like this one by becoming a foster, providing a rescue dog with a temporary home and giving them the love and care they need until they are permanently adopted. Every person who fosters is directly responsible for saving the life of a dog, because we can only save as many dogs as we have foster families available to welcome them into their homes. If you think you might be interested in becoming a foster and want to learn more, please go to http://foster.worthydog.org and fill out an application.

Worthy Dog Rescue is an all-volunteer, foster-based rescue that primarily adopts to families in the DC Metro area.
