Are you looking for a dog dedicated to be your personal shadow? Do you enjoy spending time outside? Do you never want to invest in a space heater again? Then Davey is the dog for you! He absolutely adores “his people” and wants nothing more than to follow you around and warm your side or feet when you are relaxing. Davey loves the outdoors and eagerly looks forward to his daily walks and outdoor play time. Davey is a hound dog and has prey drive towards smaller animals, so would do best in a home without cats or other small animals.  Davey is currently in a home with older children (8+) and he is doing great!

Davey is very social at dog parks and LOVES to play with other pooches. He will run around the park with the other dogs for an hour straight and never get tired. Davey is believed to be about two years old, and while he does need training, he is eager to please and highly intelligent.  We are hoping to find Davey a home with previous dog training experience and a fenced in yard for him to run and play in. He really needs a family who is dedicated to him and his training and want him to be a big part of their lives. He would love a young, playful fur sibling or two, because he truly loves to play and engage with other dogs . As a purely foster-based rescue, we have no central location where you can visit our dogs.  Therefore, we only honor meet requests from pre-approved adopters, with an application on file. Please complete our online adoption application at www.myaarf.org as fully as you can and allow 24-48 hours for a response from our busy volunteer staff. Davey's adoption fee is $450 which includes transportation, vetting and micro-chipping. Completion of obedience training within 90 days of adoption is a requirement for adoption through AARF.
